Index initializing taking forever

Honestly, stopping all new index creation makes sense. Gotta do what you gotta do. I’m excited for what can be accomplished when using the index alongside something like AutoGPT and have a pile of data ready when I get the chance. Good luck working through the surge - I’ll keep checking the panel every so often.

Update: I deleted my project and created a new project that chose a different location. Creating a new index in that environment succeeded and my local agent is able to interact with it already.

I’ve tried init twice with 2 different accounts in the same environment for a half day, but neither finished.

This was happening due to certain regions running out of capacity.

If a region is out of capacity, you’ll now see the status “InitializationFailed”.

We’re continuously adding capacity, so your index was previously stuck (should now say “InitializationFailed”) you should delete it now and try again.

Initializing is also stuck for me, and I can’t delete it. It says, “Index must finish initializing before it can be deleted”. Neither can I delete the project because “Project failed to delete. Deletion failed, 1 active indexes in project 43c4414. Delete all indexes and try again.”

This is a blocker. I can’t use the service. Is there any workaround?

Same problem here! The Index initializing is stuck and after 1 hr it failed. Tried again, but no success.

I’m stuck as well, it’s Initializing for several hours after which I’m getting InitializationFailed. Tried three times so far.
