Save my index locally

Hi everyone,

I created a personal account but now I need to move my index to another account. What’s the best way to do this? Can I download my index in some format so I have my embeddings and metadata locally?

Thanks for your question - it is possible to re-home your entire project into a different Pinecone organization. However, there are some important caveats:

  • You must submit an official support ticket by emailing support@pinecone.io to begin the process
  • When your project is moved to the new organization, ALL indexes and ALL API keys will move to the new organization as well - beware and notify your team as required!
  • We are working on making this easier and self-serve, but for now it requires an official support ticket
