I have a PDF file that is 20 pages and under 10MB (I am on Standard plan).. and no matter what.. it says Processing failed.
If this assistant thing is not the best way… what is the best way to upload these scanned PDFs and search for the text it grabbed?
Hi @dan1 - Can you confirm that you’re using the multimodal option described here: Multimodal context for assistants - Pinecone Docs
We have someone looking closer at this from our end too, but that will help.
Looking closer at the logs, it looks like the PDF is being uploaded with multimodal=false. Can you try changing that? You can read more here: Multimodal context for assistants - Pinecone Docs
Note: this multimodal PDF feature is not yet supported in the Console yet.

@jenna That’s what I figured. Question… it seems like the limit is 20 per assistant which seems very low. Is there a way to increase this number? It seems super low. I have clients who want to dump files in without worrying about the 20 limit.
