I’m trying to get an estimate of costs with Pinecone any ideas?

Some assumptions to help:
1000 vectors x 1536 (dimensions)
1000 read requests per day

That should easily fit into the free tier. A single s1 pod will hold around 2.5M 1536-dimension embeddings.

I signed up for a paid plan as I do not want embeddings deleted. I have $2.5 in 1 day so got worried.

Am I doing something wrong?

A single pod on the paid plan costs $0.096 per hour x 24 hrs = $2.3/day. So you’re not doing anything wrong. You can go back to the free plan and just make sure you’re making an API call every 7 days or less.
