Are the similarity metrics pinecone uses all symmetrical? For example is there a similary metric where sim(employee, person) is high, but sim (person, employee) is low, since an employee is a person but a person is not necessarily an employee?

this will depend on the embedding model, asymmetrical search is supported given the embedding model has been trained for this
