I’m trying to use Pinecone through AWS Marketplace. My understanding is that when using it through the Marketplace, the Standard Plan is the default. However, in my environment, it’s set to the Starter Plan. Could this be due to the login address or AWS Organization settings?
When using AWS Marketplace, could you please explain under what conditions it becomes a Standard Plan or a Starter Plan?
I would appreciate your guidance on this matter.
Hello @kumada15 welcome to the community.
When you update using the cloud marketplace, a new organisation is
created in Pinecone. You might have to switch to the new organisation, which you can do by clicking on the organisation name in the top left of the console.
Any paid-for account will be on either the Standard
or Enterprise
tier. If it’s still showing the starter
tier then it has not been upgraded.
I would check the subscription Pinecone subscription page on AWS to see the current status.

Hi @patrick1 , I’m facing the same problem with him.
As a test, I created new AWS account (non-organizational) and new Gmail address, then I signed up to Pinecone through AWS Marketplace.
I found “You are currently on the Starter Plan” message on the bottom of this page, and this changed into Standard after I visited this page again.
I wonder this is bug on Pinecone website. I hope this will be fixed, if it is not intended.
