# Upgraded to resolve Index Initializing

The status has not changed since Index Initializing, so I upgraded the plan and changed the pod type to p1.x8. However, looking at the forum, Upgradeh seems to be ineffective it doesn’t seem to be effective. Please tell me how to force Index removal to keep costs down.

Indexes that failed to initialize should have, by now, shown a failed status. You can delete the index that failed to initialize and try again.
